Organize research topic in some graph structure
Some research topics have a lot in common, some are derived from other, etc ... For instance, the research topics
- Parallel-in-Time PDE-constrained optimization
- Parallel-in-time algorithms for shallow water equations
- Machine Learning methods for Parallel-in-time algorithms
Are all linked to the more generic research topic : Parallel-in-time methods for Initial Value problems, which itself could be contained in a more global research topic on time-integration methods fo IVP, that would also include all spectral-deferred-correction related research topics.
Would it be possible to build some kind of structure between research topics (RT), to organize them and have links between others ? Like some kind of organization into
- Main (very generic) RT : specialty of one research group, or even shared between two or more ...
- Specialized RT : contained in one main RT, a bit less generic and focus on a specific research direction
- Specific RT : like the subject of a PhD/master thesis, could be contained in a Main RT or a Specialized RT
At some point, anyone could eventually have a global vision of all the research topics of the Math Institute, and eventually zoom on those if there is some particular interest (like, to find master thesis subjects or else ...). Could be some kind of graph structure that would be automatically generated thanks to additional indication on each markdown page ...
Just throwing some idea here, if that could eventually lead to something
