content production - Equip PCB

Equipment: tweezers, KiCAD-Layout in A4 (optional), electrionic components, thermal paste-coated PCB

Total duration: 2h

After the PCB was coated with a doctor knife ("rakeln"?!) the electronic components can be placed on the PCB. It is helpful for the placement process if you have the KiCAD-Layout printed in A4-format.

Every component has to be placed on the PCB like it is shown on the KiCAD-Layout. It can be helpful if you put all components on the printed KiCAD-Layout and place them afterwards on the PCB.

Make sure that specific components (microcontroller, diodes, jumper, capacitor?) are placed in the correct orientation.

Microcontroller: Pin 1 is marked on the Layout and on the microcontroller itself with a dot.

Jumper: Make sure the that the labeled components on Layout and jumper fit together.

Diode: ________________________________________

Capacitor: _________________________________

The surface of the positions of the components on the PCB is coated with glutinous thermal paste. So the components should not move if you carry the PCB to the re-flow oven. However please be careful while carrying the equiped PCB.

Most important: Take you time for the hole equipping process and be pacient!

Here (verlinkung) you can see the hole process in time lapse.
